Reset Motorola Defy Via Setting Buttons

Performing Hard Reset on Motorola Defy


Normal (Soft) Reset:

A normal reset stops all running applications but does not erase any programs or saved data.
Caution be sure to save any unsaved data before performing a normal reset since a normal reset erases all unsaved data.
 
  • Press and hold the Power Button for 11-13 seconds.
  • The phone will turn itself off.

Before Performing a Hard Reset

A hard reset erases the contents of a cell phone, rolling the system back to the factory settings. The process deletes any viruses or glitches in the system, along with any other data, such as photos, music files, and address books. This process is not reversible, so users should not perform a hard reset without first backing up their data.

Note: It is again reminder you that backing up all data you want to keep before continuing.
 
 
Via Phone Settings: 
  • On the Home screen
  • Select the Settings - Options, click the Privacy Protected data
  • Then the Factory data reset factory data reset
  • After Reset Phone Reset Button
  • Enter your password when prompted, and then Erase everything to delete everything / Restore Phone option

Via Phone Buttons:
 
    1. Turn off the Motorola Defy was locked up or take the battery out and put it back.
    2. Press the Volume Down button and
        Turn 3 along with him on the phone
    4. fastboot menu, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
    5. Select Clear Storage Volume Down button
    6. Press the power button and then let go
    7. Press the VOLUME UP button to confirm, or DEFY VOLUME DOWN button if you change your mind.
