How to Reset HTC 7 Pro

Performing Hard Reset on

HTC 7 Pro

Hard (Full) Reset:

If HTC 7 Pro has a persistent problem that cannot be solved, you can perform a factory reset (also called a hard reset or master reset). A factory reset reverts the phone back to its initial state — the state before you turned on the phone for the first time.

Files such as your music, photos, videos, and documents can also be deleted from the storage, if you chose to do so.
Be sure to back up any data and files you want to keep before you do a factory reset.

Note: A factory reset may not permanently erase all data from your phone, including personal information.

Factory reset from settings
    •   From the home screen, swipe left to expose your app list
    •   Select Settings
    •   Scroll down and select about
    •   Select reset your phone
    •   Select yes to confirm, then select yes to confirm again

      Factory reset using hardware buttons

      • Shut down the phone or turned it off, or remove the battery and then reinsert it back again.
      • Press and hold the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons, and then briefly press the POWER button.
      • Wait for  the instructions to show on the screen on how to do the factory reset, and then Release the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons.
      • Follow the instructions onscreen how to factory reset your phone.
