How to Hard Reset Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000
Performing Hard Reset on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000
Normal (Soft) Reset:
A normal reset stops all running applications but does not erase any programs or saved data.
be sure to save any unsaved data before performing a normal reset since a normal reset erases all unsaved data.
To restart your device:
- Press and hold the Power Button for 10-15 seconds.
Hard (Full) Reset:
Warning:
Perform a full reset, your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 returns to its default settings and looses all information that is not recorded in ROM (Read Only Memory) including Contacts, Messages etc..
Note: If you reset your device to the factory defaults with SD card encryption setting enabled, the device will not be able to read your encrypted files. Disable this setting before resetting the device.
Via Settings:
- Go to the Home Screen and tap Menu to see more options.
- Select the Settings icon and go to Backup & Reset.
- Choose Factory Data Reset and tap Reset Device.
- On the next screen, read the warning and tap Delete All.
- Switch the device off and press Volume + and Power.
- Wait for the menu to pop up and select Wipe Data/Factory Reset with Volume Down.
- Press Power to confirm it and scroll down to Yes on the next screen.
- Similarly to what you did before, use Power to select the option.
- After a few seconds, press Power once again to chose Reboot System Now.
