How to Hard Reset Motorola Defy Mini XT321
Performing Factory Reset on Motorola Defy Mini XT321
Factory or Hard (Full) Reset:
It may be necessary to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped.
Warning:
This will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your device and any programs that have been installed. You should only perform a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your device to an operational state.
Important Instructions:
- If you have an external memory in your device, you must remove it to avoid losing your important data, since the process of hard reset will erase all content in its path.
- As the internal memory can not be removed, I suggest you make a complete backup of your important files, because the hard reset will delete all data types or existing files.
- Make sure you have the device charged up to 70%.
First of all let's identify the physical buttons that will use:
Now that we have identified either the buttons we will use to apply the method to hard reset
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the "Power" button + "Volume Up and Down" at the same time.
- Hold tight on the 3 buttons until the device turns on and show us the Motorola logo along with some options to access the Reset menu.
- The next step is to push the button of the House (the button is located below the Volume button Fewer). This will show us the Android logo and then we press the Home button to access the menu reset.
- Once we're inside the Reset menu down with the volume button least until the "Wipe data / Factory reset" and pressed the camera button to confirm.
- On the next screen we go down with the volume button less and we are in the "Yes - Delete all user data" option and again we press the Camera button to confirm.
- The reset process will start and once completed will have a new screen. In this new screen we are in the first "Reboot System Now" option and pressed the camera button to confirm.
The device will reboot and you'll be done with the hard reset process.
