Hard Reset Alcatel One Touch 918
Performing Factory Reset on Alcatel One Touch 918
Factory or Hard (Full) Reset:
It may be necessary to perform a reset if your device fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped.
Warning:
This will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your device and any programs that have been installed. You should only perform a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your device to an operational state.
Important Instructions:
- If you have an external memory in your device, you must remove it to avoid losing your important data, since the process of hard reset will erase all content in its path.
- As the internal memory can not be removed, I suggest you make a complete backup of your important files, because the hard reset will delete all data types or existing files.
- Make sure you have the device charged up to 70%.
- Turn off the device. Remove the battery and place it back.
- Press & Hold the buttons "Volume Up" + "Power" for a few seconds and let go when the Android logo and a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle appears.
- Now press the "Home" button and the menu appears reset.
- In the Reset menu down the Volume button to select "Wipe data / Factory reset".
- Press the Menu button to confirm the selection (the menu button is located to the left of the Search button).
- On the next screen down to the "Yes - Delete all user data" option and press the Menu button again.
- The hard reset process will start.
- Once you complete the hard reset process, a new menu appears and select the first option "Reboot system now". As is selected, only have to press the menu button again and ready.
The device will reboot and you will have finished applying the method to hard reset.
